Obituary for Douglas Scott Fox

Fox, Douglas Scott, age 49 of Philadelphia passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016. He was a member of New Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Scotty was a 1985 graduate of Loudon High School and a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College where he received his bachelor's degree in History. He was employed with Adult Community Training for 23 years, for him it wasn't just a job, but a calling. He had a very giving and generous spirit. Scotty was active with the young people of his church, assisting with VBS and driving the church van. He had a love for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Classic Ford Mustangs and was an avid collector.

Scotty is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce (Feezell) Fox, brother, Robert Michael Fox and special uncle, Carl Foxx.

Survivors include his loving wife, Misty Moore Fox; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Roger Moore; brother-in-law, William Ed Moore all of Loudon; special people in his life that were his family, Dawn and Toby Massey, Dana Parks, Steve Ward, Kevin Gentry, and Rodney Webb; Laekyn, Cana, Raegan and Cy Massey, Layne and Landon Parks; sister, LeaAnn Fox Paul; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service 6 PM Friday, December 23, New Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Bill White and Rev. Chad Oody officiating. Interment 1 PM Saturday in the New Macedonia Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800. The family will receive friends 3-6 PM Friday prior to the service at New Macedonia Baptist Church. McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 N, Loudon.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends 3-6 PM Friday, December 23rd at New Macedonia Baptist Church.

Funeral:
The funeral service will be 6 PM Friday, December 23rd at New Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Bill White and Rev. Chad Oody officiating.

Interment:
The interment service will be 1 PM Saturday, December 24th in the New Macedonia Church Cemetery.
