Obituary for Lyman C Goad

Lyman C Goad, 'Lee' age 73 of Loudon, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Lee was born to the late Charley and Nell (England) Goad in Louisville, Kentucky. Lee served his country overseas in the US Army. He studied at the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he received his B.S. in Industrial Education. He enjoyed a 28 year career with TVA working at the Kingston Steam Plant and Watts Bar Nuclear Plant as a senior instrument mechanic and foreman.

Following retirement, Lee owned and operated Lee's AC Service until his Parkinson's Disease would no longer allow him to work. He was a lifelong horseman. He enjoyed riding with family and friends. His wife Vickie enjoyed the buggies and together they passed many hours touring. He especially enjoyed his horseback adventures with his brother, Roger.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Delpho Borders, Patricia Adkins and Delois Masterson. Survivors include his beloved wife, Vickie (Haney) Goad, Loudon; daughter, LaShaun Paul and Eddie Robinson, Sweetwater, daughter and son-in-law, Delana and Mack Baughman, Concord; grandsons, Bradley and fiancée, Brooke, Nicholas and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Susie and Emersyn; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Debbie Goad, Ringgold, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Moran, Louisville, KY, Brenda and Lance Davidson, LaFayette, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services honoring and remembering the life of Lee Goad will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, June 17th with Mr. Phillip Thompson officiating and military honors provided by the US Army.
