Obituary for William Dee Stapp

Stapp, William Dee 'Bill' - Born to the late William Verne and Gertrue (Miles) Stapp in Baltimore, Maryland November 2, 1942. Bill passed from this life Friday morning, January 27, 2017 in Lenoir City, Tennessee. Bill received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Carson Newman College and then completed his Master's in Educational Administration from Georgia Southern University. Bill enjoyed a lifetime passion for music. His favorite instrument was his voice. In addition, he was accomplished at playing the trombone. Early on he enjoyed working as the band director at Rhea County High School and then North Augusta Middle School in South Carolina. Upon returning to East Tennessee, Bill got involved in working in human resources for various companies such as Yamaha and MARCA in Vonore, Home Crest Cabinet of Clinton, Maremont of Loudon and First Baptist Church of Concord. Bill continued to serve and work with music programs in area churches. He and wife Pat, were charter members of Bethany Baptist Church, Loudon and current members of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City.

He was survived by his devoted companion and wife of nearly 52 years, Patricia (Whitlock) Stapp; daughters and sons in-law, Kellie S. and James D. Roberts, Athens, and Karen S. and Joseph P. Klosek, Earlysville, VA; grandchildren, Grant Ketron Roberts, Jessica Elaine Roberts, Stella Rose Klosek and William Miles Klosek; sister in-law and brother in-law, Elizabeth and Ben Mastin. Services honoring and remembering Bill Stapp will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, Jan. 29th, McGill Click Chapel with Rev. Dick DeMerchant and Rev. Steve Peek officiating. Interment 11:00 AM Monday, Jan 30th in Loudon County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2:00 4:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals and Cremations, 1366 Hwy 72 N. Loudon, TN.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sunday, January 29th in the McGill Click Chapel

Funeral:
Funeral service for Mr. Stapp will be 4 PM Sunday, January 29th in the McGill Click Capel with Rev. Dick DeMerchant and Rev. Steve Peek officiating.

Interment:
Interment service will be 11 AM Monday, January 30th in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
