Obituary for Bonita Sue Matchulat

Bonnie Sue Matchulat (Marzolf) was born in Buffalo, New York on January 27, 1942 and was called home by the Lord on January 30, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents John G. and Margaret Matchulat.
Bonnie was blessed with an abundance of intelligence, a quick wit, a captivating personality, plus unlimited talent and sensitivities. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother who helped infuse her daughter and twin sons with Christian values.
Bonnie was a voracious reader, an accomplished pianist and painter, who also enjoyed needlepoint. She had a love for animals and over her lifetime provided a warm and loving home to her dogs. Bonnie’s deep concern for her fellow man is evidenced, in part, by over 15 years of service with Hospice and involvement with the church.
Bonnie had a highly successful career selling real estate where her enthusiastic, engaging personality and unflinching preparation provided her with intense knowledge of her client’s needs and the properties she listed and sold.
Bonnie will be sorely missed; her survivors include: brother Jack Matchulat (Cindy) of Brentwood, TN; daughter Laura Walton (Michael) of Sammamish, WA; son Colonel Gregory Marzolf, USAF Retired (Carole) of Fort Collins, CO; son Jeffrey Marzolf (Laura) of Knoxville, TN; niece Amanda Long (Matt) of Chattanooga, TN; nephew and god son Justin Matchulat of Frederick, MD; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren that include: Jeffrey and John Walton; Ashley, Amir, Cathleen, Julia, and Taylor Marzolf; Sierra and Gabriel Marzolf; and great nephew Cody Long.
Services honoring and remembering Bonnie will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, February 6th at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 260 Wade Rd W, Loudon with Rev. Brian Truog officiating. The family requests any memorials and/or donations be made in Bonnie’s name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Breast Cancer Foundation, Dept. 41831, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265. The family will greet and visit friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
