Obituary for Daniel George Brandfast

Daniel George Brandfast, age 71 of Knoxville, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, March 18, 2018.

Dan was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several financial advisory service companies. Over the years, he trained literally thousands of people interested in sales and finance and assisted countless families in preparing for life and the challenges that lie ahead. Dan was a passionate man, anything he was interested in doing, he was passionate about that thing. For years he was a passionate golfer, when injuries sidelined him from the golf course, he took up fishing and became passionate about that. He loved cooking for others, hosting backyard fish fries with friends or politicking and giving life advice, tinkering with cars or just practicing at being a professional “piddler”. Along the way he made hundreds of friends. As a young man he served in the US Air Force and the Air National Guard. He loved to worship in the church, he visited many in the Loudon County and Knoxville area and made many friends there also.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karin Johnson Brandfast (2016), and his parents, William David and Louise (Wallace) Brandfast . Surviving are his children, Natalie Williams, Knoxville and Daniel G. Brandfast, II, Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Jasmine and Jaylen Williams, Knoxville; sister and brother in-law, Tresa and Franklin McCallie, Chattanooga.

Services honoring and remembering Dan Brandfast will be held 7:00 PM Friday, March 23 at Still Waters Baptist Church, 1357 Murry Rd., Knoxville, 37912. Dan will be interred next to his wife in Granny Walker Cemetery in a private committal service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:45 PM Friday evening prior to the service at the Church.
